Overview
:
Works close with payroll accountant to create necessary audits on payroll processes to ensure all payments are accurate and on time. Analyzes payroll processes to look for any inconsistencies and make recommendations for improvement. Learn the role of the payroll accountant to be able to provide backup when needed.

Responsibilities

- Establish a thorough knowledge of payroll systems, UKG and UltiPro
- Create audits of various payroll processes and look for areas of improvement
- Recommend and implement policies on processes and offer solutions to gain process efficiency.
- Maintains and executes audit controls, ensuring data integrity for the payroll processes.
- Provide end user training on reporting tools.
- Provide ad hoc analysis as assigned
- Provide cross-functional departments with required data, ensuring sensitivity to confidential information and proper approvals
- Processing of semi-monthly payroll for employees completed timely and accurately. Includes processing of manual, adjustments, termination and off-cycle payments.
Qualifications
:
Essential
- Previous payroll experience is preferred
- Excellent analytical skills, including intermediate knowledge of Excel
- High degree of confidentiality of sensitive employee/company data
- Prior systems experience preferred but not required
- Ability to learn a variety of payroll support systems to become the go-to resource for questions
- Detailed work and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze problems and create solutions.
- Ability to work independently and professionally.
- Ability to prioritize
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Standing, sitting, or walking for duration of shift.
- Manual dexterity for such duties as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, writing, etc.
