The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a unique opportunity within the Office of Human Resources for a HR Specialist.

The Human Resources (HR) Specialist will provide daily administration, operational support, and guidance for recruitment and onboarding. The HR Specialist will contribute to policies, procedures, record keeping, data analysis, process improvements, training, communications, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and collective bargaining agreements. In addition, the HR Specialist will serve as a backup for other HR services including screening, interviewing, processing background checks and new hires, drafting job descriptions, reviewing compensation, classifying positions, administering, coordinating, and assisting with employee relations matters.
This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be outlined as part of the job offer and must adhere to state policy.

- Three years of job-related experience working in a professional office environment.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Ability to obtain the State of Montana Classification Certification within one year of hire.
