The Workforce Coordinator is responsible for enrolling and carrying out case management for the SNAP Next Step Employment & Training program. This program assists Nebraska's vulnerable populations in helping unemployed and under-employed find and secure more suitable employment. This position will collaborate with Nebraska Department of Labor to provide supportive services for our clients to be successful.

North Platte - Labor, East Francis
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Mon-Fri
Located North Platte, you will be working with the SNAP Next Step Employment and Training (E&T) program which includes a partnership with Nebraska Department of Labor (DOL).
Your day to day work would include face to face and telephone interaction with customers of varied socio-economic levels gathering financial and demographic information.
You will work with the local DOL programs to assist customers with obtaining self-sufficiency. You will be conducting community outreach as well as interacting with customers.
Computer databases are used to update, document and verify customer information, accurately process assigned work tasks, and prepare correspondence.
This position covers North Platte and surrounding areas and Lexington and surrounding areas. Travel to alternative work sight will be necessary.
Travel may include the Lexington DOL office, and other surrounding areas.
REQUIREMENTS: Post high school coursework or training in social/behavioral sciences, counseling, business, public administration, education, marketing or a related field; or experience in client development and case management including interviewing, research and direct customer service.
PREFERRED: Prefer experience working with NFOCUS and the SNAP program within the last two years. Experience using NEworks. 24 semester hours of post high school education in behavioral sciences, public/business administration, social sciences, education or closely related field OR experience in customer service, determining eligibility for public assistance, unemployment services, OR a combination of education and experience in any of the above areas.
OTHER: Valid driver's license or able to provide independent authorized transportation.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate proficient data entry computer skills while communicating with customers, must be able to multi-task and navigate between various computer systems, have good communication skills, are customer focused, and have the ability to learn quickly and successfully via webinars and on-line courses.
Must have good time management skills and be able to set and manage priorities.
