Job Title: Universal Member Service Rep

Immediate Supervisor: Ukiah Branch Manager

Pay Range: $17.30-$27.55/HOUR

SA Status: Non - Exempt

Purpose: Consistently provides an atmosphere of high-quality member service. Confidently supports credit union sales efforts and performs transaction for members with regard to all share and loan products and services. Consult with members and provide solutions to match their needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Promote and sell all credit union products and services based on member needs as determined from member interviews. Maintain current knowledge of all credit union services and policies. Counsel members on interest rates and cross‐sell services offered at the credit union.

· Open new share accounts and certificates.

· Process new account information including ordering checks, verifying eligibility, checking for appropriate signatures, filing cards, mailing welcome letters, etc. Print starter or temporary checks for members. Assist members with Instant Issue ATM cards.

· Assist members with wire transactions.

· Assist members in closing accounts.

· Assist members with discrepancies and complaints. Make corrections and refunds on accounts if necessary.

· Analyze and process consumer loan applications. Pull credit reports for all accounts, verify debts, estimate monthly payment for any outstanding debts not listed and add them to debts on application.

· Ensure that all information and transactions regarding credit union members are kept confidential. Enforce strict adherence to established security procedures.

· Other duties as assigned.

Communications:

· Interact with all levels of management and vendors in a professional manner, with clear communication, both verbal and written.

· Disseminates policies, procedures, and announcements in a timely manner and attends regular and recurring meetings to build an effective communication flow.

· Provides timely, direct feedback and information to individuals to enable them to make accurate, informed decisions. Demonstrates effective face-to-face communications, telephone interactions, and written communications. Articulates ideas and writes reports, technical materials, and correspondence in a clear, concise manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Financial Institution experience is required. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability required. Education and Training:

Financial Institution experience is required

High school graduate or equivalent

Bilingual required (Spanish and English)

Physical Demands:

Work requires a low amount of physical exertion. The need for physical stamina and endurance is of low significance. Must be able to negotiate entry stairs into the van and climb into the truck cab. Sitting and standing for long periods of time. Use of computer, keyboarding, mouse functions, viewing monitor output, 10-key functions, phone and other work-related functions within office environment to complete assigned tasks.

Working Conditions:

No adverse environmental working conditions. Some outdoor work at events may be required.
