Software Developer - Elastic / OpenSearch Job at Elevate Government Solutions

We are seeking a highly motivated and intellectually curious Elastic Search Developer to join our team working with a Federal client. The position will be a remote role open to US citizens residing in the United States with a Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide ongoing operational and maintenance support for existing systems and applications developed using Elastic Search and Autonomy.
- Perform application bug fixes, fixes to reports, correction to business rules, and/or assists with completion of scheduled Enterprise Architecture (EA) and infrastructure or software upgrades as needed.
- Provide technical support, capture new business requirements, and identify process improvements.
- Codify provided system requirements, using Government approved platforms and languages, follow CI/CD standards and best practices, to deliver solutions meeting the business requirements.
- Must be able to work independently with little to no daily supervision, is a team player, open to ideas and learning.
- Work in a distributed team environment where team members are spread across numerous locations and often communicate virtually to support clients.
- Work as a team member closely with the Project Manager, Business Analyst, Technical lead and others to ensure implementations are completed on time and within budget
Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of various AWS native services including S3, EC2, Lambda, Opensearch and/or Elasticsearch
- Hands-on knowledge of design, development and implementation using Kibana.
- Design and implement highly scalable ELK (ElasticSearch. Logstash and Kibana) stack
- Experience in architecting data structures using Elastic Search Good experience in query languages and writing complex queries with joins that deals with a large amount of data
- Strong experience with TypeScript and RDS/PostgreSQL database
Recommend skills:
- Experience with using libraries including knexjs to connect with PostgreSQL/Jest for unit testing
- Should be well versed using Git (preferably GitLab, but any incarnation of Git is ok) and CI/CD process (Jenkins highly preferred).
- Needs to be a fast learner and demonstrate ability to ramp up quickly on our tech stack
Education Requirement:
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related (highly preferred)
