Words by a Pro is looking for an experienced copywriting contractor with experience in enterprise HR applications, particularly Workday and PeopleSoft.

The position will involve myriad types of writing needs.

You will work directly with the project manager and CEO on a variety of topics and deliverable types, spanning from blogging to writing case studies, white papers, social media posts, site content, and more, so we’ll be most interested in candidates with a proven deep bench.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Time Commitment

This will range depending on your skill set, but likely anywhere from 10–20 hours per month.

WHAT WE’LL ASK FROM YOU

• Integrate with our team on our Basecamp account (simple, really, we'll just create an account for you and you can communicate with us via the project management system)
• Write, write, and write some more! Writing tasks can be anything from corporate blogs to white papers to branding material. Mostly, though, you'll be writing articles and short ebooks. If we like working with you, we may put you on other accounts that involve blogs, white papers, and other deliverables.
• Stay up to date on the latest in the inbound and content marketing world so you can be of better assistance to our team.
• Be knowledgeable on enterprise HR solutions, namely Workday, PeopleSoft, as well as AWS integration and usage.
• Work with our head writer and editors to get our clients the best damn marketing copy they've seen.

Qualifications and Skills

Here's what we're looking for in our next writing contractor:

• A strong understanding of inbound marketing, content marketing, and related concepts
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a contractor, writer, copywriter, copy editor, or content writer
• Can be considered knowledgeable, or even an expert, on Workday, PeopleSoft and/or AWS.
• Has a wide knowledge base
• Is a thorough researcher who is also perceptive and knows how to identify reputable, authoritative sources
• Can quickly comprehend and write on previously unfamiliar subject matter
• Doesn’t take it personally when we ask to revise content
• Able to receive constructive criticism
• Friendly attitude that will jive well with the team
• Must be able to proof own work
• Must be located within the United States
