The P8 Boeing Commercial Airplanes Level Integration Team is looking to hire a Senior Production & Integration Engineer (Level 4) to support production stability efforts in Renton, WA.
We are looking for self-starting engineers who are interested in seeking, leading, and tackling production improvement initiatives. You will support critical items such as troubleshooting efforts, particularly for airplane systems, and interfacing with the factory to support delivery efforts, integrate across multiple disciplines, and promote a healthy working environment between the Engineering teams and the Manufacturing teams, while focusing on the Programs priorities for improvement.
In this role you will be expected to lead projects that directly impact the program and improve our delivery tact time, while maintaining a high level of commitment to quality.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Renton, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversees and leads the development, analysis, management, and compliance verification of process and product baselines of highly integrated complex products
Leads the definition and planning of comprehensive sets of product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for new and derivative products
Leads the analysis of complex product trades and/or changes and the development of change proposals
Leads the implementation of Configuration and Data Management standards, processes, systems and tools
Leads and directs the definition and allocation of Configuration Management and Data Management requirements for product hardware, software and engineering design data systems throughout the product lifecycle.
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering
5+ years of experience in leading efforts to resolve technical issues
5+ years of experience in one or more of the following engineering fields: (airplane systems, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, systems engineering, certification, or safety)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
P8 experience and knowledge of the platform
Experience working with suppliers
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
