Overview

The Senior Accountant Financial Reporting provides accounting support and financial research and reconciliations to support the financial and regulatory reporting for CrossFirst Bank and CrossFirst Bankshares.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly, quarterly and year end accounting closing
• Review monthly results compared to plan and historical periods and provide follow up analysis
• Perform and support stock compensation plan accounting and administration
• Assist with preparation and reconciliations of consolidated financial reporting; including SEC financial reports, regulatory reports, and internal reports
• Prepare and report reconciliations of assigned holding company accounts
• Provide analytical research and support for investor presentations
• Provide support for all accounting software including, CDM/Workiva, Axiom, Certent and PeopleSoft
• Assist with analysis related to recent accounting standards, such as ASC 326 (Financial Instruments – Credit Losses) and ASC 842 (Leases)
• Research impact of new accounting pronouncements and model impacts to financial statements
• Lead special projects as needed
• Participate in accounting system/procedures implementation teams
• Perform calculation of income tax provisions and other tax compliance requirements
• Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service
• Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors
• Represent the Bank and Accounting team in a highly professional manner
• Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work
• Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices
• Reliable and predictable attendance

Qualifications

• Three to five years as a successful accountant with public accounting, bank accounting.
• SEC financial reporting experience highly preferred.
• Advanced level knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office Suite Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Solid understanding of finance, accounting, information systems and related disciplines.
• Strong working knowledge of database reporting software/processes strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, Master’s degree a plus.
• Active CPA License, preferred.
