QA Analyst

$40-$57/hour

Onsite - New York City

Long-term contract position

What Will You Do?

• Be able to work/QA on single-stream and small, multi-stream web-based projects.
• Assisting Head of QA on large, multi-stream web-based projects.
• Offering internal consultancy on industry standards, guidelines, and best practice on the web.
• Mastery of both MRM and client-specific web standards and guidelines.
• Writing test plans, test cases and test data.
• Testing web-based applications according to the test plans.
• Checking web-based deliverables against both MRM and client standards.
• In association with the Head of QA, improving QA processes via regular analysis of quality planning and quality control results data.
• ‘Owning’ the QA process on the project, ensuring risk is minimized and all deliverables are of the highest possible quality.

What Do You Need?

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 2+ years’ experience testing web sites and/or browser-based software.
• Must have familiarity with all modern browsers
• Be proficient & comfortable in the use of both PC & MAC environments
• Bulk email campaign management software experience (e.g., MailChimp) preferred.
• Be familiar with end-to-end email testing across multiple email clients and browser combinations
• Must have accessibility experience (e.g., Web Accessibility Initiative or Section 508).
• Agency experience preferred.
• Must be well-versed and up to date on current technologies, social media etc.
• Must have exposure to Mobile device/s, different iOS flavors and be able to test on mobile devices
• Must have a passion for the latest software, hardware, electronics, gadgets, and Internet developments.
• Must have expertise and fluency in synthesizing knowledge into clever, innovative QA solutions.
• Must have knowledge of contemporary web software QA tools and methodologies.
• Must have web-based workflow and/or issue tracking experience (e.g. JIRA).
• Must have a pro-active and practical, patient, and diplomatic approach.
• Must have a passion for and knowledge of software QA, Information Technology, and the web.
• Must have experience using the Microsoft Office tool set.
• Must have a good working knowledge of HTML, Flash, Firebug, Charles, and any new web-based testing tools.
