Programmer / Analyst Job at Nationwide Acceptance
On-Site Position
We are looking for a full time OpenVMS Basic Programmer Analyst to work in our Rosemont office.
In this position you would be responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing and debugging of new and existing programs in our custom loan servicing system written in OpenVMS BASIC. In addition, this position requires interfacing the loan system with other internal and external systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Working with all business units to determine system needs.
- Designing and writing customer programs using OpenVMS BASIC.
- Testing, debugging and documenting new and existing programs.
- Writing OpenVMS DCL procedures to automate various tasks.
- Using MS SQL to exchange data with other systems.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and able to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical people.
- A degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience as a Programmer/Analyst using OpenVMS BASIC or another 3GL language such as COBOL.
- Experience with OpenVMS a plus.
