Maynor & Mitchell Eye Center is an innovative, fast paced, multi-physician ophthalmology practice and one of the top providers in North Alabama. Here you will find our physicians and staff are united by a shared passion for excellence and compassionate care.

Our practice is looking for an experienced, positive, and energetic ophthalmic technician to join our growing team. Technician experience in an ophthalmology office is preferred, and candidates will be required to participate in an onsite skills assessment as part of the interview process. COA/COT and contact lens experience is a plus! We have multiple satellite offices, so the candidate who fills this position may be required to travel to different locations based on clinic needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter
• Experienced in general work-up of patient (gather and record complete medical/ocular history, chief complaint, visual acuities, lensometry, EOMs, pupil assessment, manifest refraction, basic slit lamp exam, tonometry, instilling eye drops)
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of ocular anatomy, ocular conditions, and ocular medications
• Have experience on EHR programs and be computer literate
• Have accurate and efficient typing skills
• Be able to work under pressure and thrive in fast paced environment
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels in a courteous, professional manner always
