POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for organizing and implementing bilingual communication efforts on behalf all Gallegos divisions by coordinating communication to internal and external audiences using a wide variety of materials and channels in support of The Gallegos strategic plan and mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES

• Creates and manages content marketing plans for each audience.
• Monitors internet trends and e-marketing best practices.
• Develops and implements creative marketing campaigns for social media posts, gathers/takes photos for posts, schedules posts, and responds to comments for all divisions; requires travel at times.
• Implements new website projects and manages multiple existing websites, including writing copy updates and keeping content “fresh”.
• Writes and manages email, app, and instant message communications for various target markets.
• Creates newsletters, emails, presentations, and other communication pieces as assigned.
• Writes press releases and distributes to local media to create coverage of announcements, events, and programs.
• Designs organizational apparel and event logos.
• Keeps content across all mediums integrated, on brand, and up to date.
• Attends events and programs on weekends or in the evening at times.
• Models the Gallegos values and mission.
• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• High level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Well-organized and detail oriented

Education:

• Bachelors in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Digital Arts, Business, or related field and three (3) year related experience

Certifications/Licenses:

• Valid Colorado drivers license at time of hire

Computer/Typing:

• Knowledge with MS Office suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, Google Suite, project management software, BlueBeam, WordPress, Adobe Acrobat

Language Ability:

• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
• Spanish language is preferred
