Department Overview

The Control Framework Manager will facilitate the development and maintenance of key processes and control framework to support all AMCB Core Operations. This role will also collaborate with the Control Framework and Core Resiliency partners across Core Operations. In this role the Control Framework Manager will have line of sight to essential key functions and work directly with Line of Business stakeholders and key business owners complete full end-to-end control assessments and enhancements, and work to develop new testing as required. The Control Framework Manager will also institute routines that will enhance resiliency across Core Operations.

Job Description

The Manager, Controls Management uses Risk and Control and Bank Operations knowledge to strengthen and support the control environment across Core Operations. Partners with key risk and control partners across the bank to provide an end to end and consistent approach to managing controls within the lines of business. Analyzes control processes and breakdowns to provide business line support and develop effective solutions.

Job Requirements

Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance, and promoting teamwork
Supports the documentation and maintenance of key 1A Control Management frameworks and processes
Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on the control environment and management for Core Operations for areas of focus
Challenges existing processes and controls, and make recommendations as necessary
Participates as a member of the team in executing assigned deliverables in key areas of focus
Supports the Core Operations Control Management team by continuously developing knowledge in own area
Identifies risk and potential control failures, and makes recommendations to mitigate risk, ensuring the timely opening and remediation of self-identified findings as necessary
Provides training and supports the line of businesses within Core Operations in increasing their Risk and Control knowledge
Contribute to relevant reporting and key risk insights
Ensures alignment with customer expectations to deliver a WOW! Experience
Requires innovative thinking to develop new solutions impacting areas of responsibility
Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.

Qualifications

Bachelors degree
7+ years relevant Risk & Controls or Bank Operations experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Conceptual thinker, ability to wade through processes and data and arrive at conclusions
Data analysis experience preferred
Strong leadership & team collaboration skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Experience with compliance, audit, legal and risk management a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
Relationship management - strong business partnerships
Strong attention to detail
Data Analysis experience
