Long Term Care Pharmacy Intake Representative Job at Procare LTC pharmacy

We are seeking to hire a Full time - Long Term Care Pharmacy Technician to work out of our Farmingdale, (Long Island) NY office (possibility of remote work). This person must be a highly motivated individual who is reliable, responsible and able to multi-task as well as handle a fast paced high-volume of intake on both evenings and weekends.
Salary range: $16-20/ hour commensurate on experience

Responsibilities
- Ensure accuracy of information input into electronic client database, including demographics, payor information and insurance providers
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with team members, pharmacists, nursing facility staff and insurance companies
- Record pertinent information in our Pharmacy Software System
- Triages accounts using an understanding of patient demographic and insurance information
- Appropriately directs all incoming requests for pharmacy services such as elective and emergent admissions.
- Researches system for member eligibility. Creates and records patient and insurance information.
- Administers the department processes associated with the following services requiring documentation and review of insurance information
- Utilizes Corporate policy and Management policy to appropriately direct requests for Management Review.
- Responds to email messages received from the pharmacy or LTC facility on our service, calling provider or facility for any additional information necessary to the creation of an account to update regarding member eligibility, and to provide them with the information as indicated.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, required.
- Working knowledge of computer applications and data entry skills, required.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, required.
- Knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid and Commercial insurances, preferred.
- Knowledge of Frameworks software a plus.
- Knowledge of Docutrack software a plus.
- Ability to handle a high number of accounts per day.
- Courteous, empathic, and professional manner.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Receptive to feedback, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement.
