This is a high visibility role responsible working on client-facing features across digital channels, the Chase mobile app, and advisor/branch tool-sets
As the Executive Director | Area Product owner for cash transfers & money movements, you will play a critical role in defining the product strategy and facilitating execution of digital transfer solutions. You will partner with other product teams and senior stakeholders to deliver an intuitive, controlled, and seamless experience for all Wealth Management clients. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on large-scale initiatives, connecting dots across product lines, and conducting deep analysis to recommend solutions supported by data.
Job responsibilities:
- Set strategic vision for cash transfer capabilities and associated fraud & authentication controls to scale growth across US Wealth Management businesses and partner with other product managers to establish seamless, integrated solutions
- Represent USWM capabilities and client needs in cross-organizational forums ; influence and drive change across other businesses and product teams
- Define current-state pain-points and identify broader industry trends in the digital money movement space to influence future state digital experiences
- Build out multi-year product roadmap and translate product strategy into actionable deliverables by owning and writing detailed requirements that capture functional, design, and control/regulatory features.
- Identify and drive strategic solutions to solve real-world client, advisor, and operational challenges
- Proactively analyze data to uncover insights that drive business value and impact including competitor reviews, market trends, customer demand, and user behavior. Leverage data-driven experimentation and measurement frameworks to ensure key results are on track
- Set and manage business/user expectations and day to day interaction; drive consensus and accountability across all functions; lead project planning, weekly meetings, and presentations as needed. Serve as a liaison with other product owners and scrum teams across lines of business and across product structures to ensure goals and requirements are communicated and understood by stakeholders
- Develop implementation project plans and collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to execute on them. Track project progress and report effectively on status, blockers and changes. Accountable for creating, maintaining and communicating schedules, scorecards and status updates. Monitor ongoing health or success of products post-launch (e.g. web analytics, voice of customer, other data)
- Generates ideas for continuous improvement and process improvements to promote productivity, efficiency, and increased collaboration across multiple scrum teams
- Build effective relationships with key Product, Technology, Operations, Sales, Compliance, Legal and other functional leads; while being able to effectively challenge them to move projects forward
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- 10+ years of experience as Product Manager and/or Business Analyst, at least 5 on a large-scale global development project, preferably at a multi-national bank or fintech
- Prefer experience in Wealth Management, Payments, financial planning, digital banking, or a closely related business managing strategic or transformational change
- Experience working within an Agile development framework; understanding of Product Owner roles and responsibilities
- Demonstrable experience authoring business requirements, defining user stories and execution including bringing together cross functional teams within an Agile development framework
- Experience in defining and building out product roadmap, prioritizing projects according to business need, producing business models
- Experience working closely with user experience designers and software engineers
- Execution focused and able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple streams of work simultaneously
- Strong partnership record and ability to build effective business relationships required to leverage parts of the organization when needed
- Be comfortable with ambiguity, ability to act independently, demonstrate leadership and take initiative but work equally well within a dynamic and fast paced team environment
- Strong verbal communication and presentations skills - the ability to write clearly with a high level of sophistication
