Group Sales Coordinator Job at Saint Louis Art Museum
Summary: The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for actively prospecting for, soliciting, and securing group ticket sales for all ticketed exhibitions. They will research and contact potential group prospects, produce status reports, and generate sales data. The core focus of this position is to build relationships with a variety of groups to promote repeat visitation and to increase exhibition ticket sales and attendance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Group Tickets
Coordinator will work a flexible schedule, based on scheduled group visits. This may include weekends, some holidays and evenings.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge or other database software, as well as Ungerboeck or other event scheduling software is preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Group Tickets
- Promote group visits to the Museum’s ticketed exhibitions.
- Process group ticket payments.
- Collaborate with Membership, Marketing, and Visitor and Member Services to increase group ticket sales, pre-sales, and encourage Museum membership.
- Meet group ticket sales goals as established for each ticketed exhibition.
- Create a custom experience according to each group’s needs
- Meet and greet groups upon arrival.
- Collect feedback from group leaders to improve visitor experience.
- Communicate with Learning and Engagement and docents to create a custom tour experience, when guided tours are requested.
- Work with Retail Director to encourage sales of exhibition-related merchandise and catalogs from the Museum Shop.
- Collaborate with catering manager to promote bookings in private dining rooms and boxed lunches.
- Participate in targeted group outreach events and programs.
- Identify and pursue potential groups and organizations.
- Grow existing relationships to maximize sales revenue.
- Establish and maintain relationships with travel, tourism, convention and meeting partners with a strong focus on tour wholesalers and tour operators.
- Attend travel industry tradeshows and hospitality networking events to promote ticketed exhibitions.
- Build and maintain a database of potential and current group contacts.
- Track sales revenue and provide regular status reports to Visitor Experience Manager and VMS Operations Manager.
- Use Ungerboeck software to book exhibition spaces and create accounts to track group status.
