VRS is seeking is seeking a highly skilled, detail-oriented, self-starting professional to provide administrative support to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO). This position interfaces regularly with the highest levels of the organization, including senior staff, the Board of Trustees and the Investment Advisory Committee, in addition to a wide range of external constituents, including legislative, legal, and financial industry contacts.
Responsibilities include: Organizing and coordinating board committee and other meetings, to include meeting logistics and creation of presentation materials; coordinating with staff for the preparation and distribution of monthly and quarterly reports; working collaboratively with other assistants to ensure seamless department support and communication, assisting the CIO and staff with routine and special projects and reports, calendar management support, responding to phone calls and other correspondence, arranging domestic and international travel and related travel requisitions and reimbursement requests, processing department expenses; maintaining records and files; all other duties as may be assigned.

Additional responsibilities include providing administrative, clerical and back office support to other Investment Department teams; assisting the Agency Director’s office and Communications team with Board of Trustee meetings and communications as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Seven (7) years as an executive/senior administrative assistant with at least 3 years supporting a senior executive and demonstrated experience with:
- Administrative and project planning/coordination supported by strong critical thinking; demonstrated experience in prioritizing and managing multiple tasks while balancing the demands of competing projects and shifting priorities; ability to anticipate the needs of the CIO and prepare for upcoming meetings and/or presentations.
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office, with particular emphasis on PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task efficiently and work independently; excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain the highest level of discretion; basic knowledge of investment concepts and terminology.

VRS operates in a hybrid work model. Employees work 2 days onsite and 3 days remote. Candidates selected for any position must be able to come into the office on remote days when required.
