Cutting Machine Operator Job at RC Furniture, Inc.
High end furniture manufacturer in the City of Industry, has an immediate opening for a full time, Lectra Cutting Machine Operator. Applicant must have multiple years of experience and verifiable work history. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental and Vacation. Working hours - 6AM to 2:30 PM.
The Lectra Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining fabric-cutting machines in an upholstery manufacturing setting. The operator will be required to measure and cut fabrics according to specified measurements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up the fabric cutting machines
- Load and unload the fabric rolls onto the machine
- Read and interpret fabric cutting instructions and blueprints
- Measure and cut fabric accurately as per the specifications
- Adjust machine settings, cutting speeds and blade pressure
- Inspect and sort cut fabric pieces for quality and accuracy
- Clean and maintain the fabric cutting machines regularly
- Follow safety procedures, regulations and guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a fabric cutting machine operator in an upholstery manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with fabric types, textures and patterns
- Knowledge of basic math calculations and measurements
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and blueprints
- Ability to operate and maintain fabric cutting machines effectively and safely
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Formaris Software experience is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
