Technical Project Manager - EDI Trading Partners (Troy, MI)
Summary: The Technical Project Manager will be in charge of the implementation of electronic data interchanges (EDI) between BeneSys system and external parties (knows as trading partners). These interfaces allow exchange of information related to medical, vision and dental claims such as claims details (known as EDI 837) or payment information (known as EDI 835). The Technical Project Manager will collaborate with technical experts to make the EDI implementation with trading partners as efficient as possible.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Design a mechanism to allow early and complete identification of the trading partners and type of information required to be exchanged.
- With help from technical experts, establish process map for the implementation of EDI with trading partners, including detailed list of steps.
- Establish owners for each process step (driving efficiency through specialization) and monitor and control timely execution.
- Establish communication channels and where needed regular operating rhythm with trading partners to ensure clarity about requirements and timely receipts of inputs. Where needed, perform follow up with trading partners.
- Coordinate all bank file testing (positive pay and checks).
- Work with internal IT department whenever their support is needed to implement or debug EDI.
- Become knowledgeable with technical steps required to be completed and contribute “hands on” to the implementation of trading partners.
- Create or maintain documentation on procedures and processes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
Qualifications: Background in project management of technical topics involving systems implementation and IT is required. Prior knowledge of EDI implementation and medical claims is ideal but not required.
Education and/or Experience: Post high school education or prior medical system experience. EDI configuration related work experience preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate professionally and clearly with the clients and other departments of BeneSys.
Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Physical Demands: Sustained periods of sitting/standing and keyboarding.
Work Environment: Fast paced department with shifting priorities. Must be able to work independently. 100% remote position.
Work Schedule
Full time. 7:30am - 4:30pm. Fully remote position.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $88,000 - $94,0000 per year. Actual salary is dependent on skills, experience, education, and other business factors. .
