Supervisor Substation Maintenance Job at Wisconsin Public Service (WPS)
Wisconsin Public Service Corp, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Supervisor Substation Maintenance in our Wausau, Wisconsin location.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient coordination and scheduling of substation test and preventative maintenance work and relay installation and maintenance.
- Prioritizes work schedules to meet customer needs and business goals using the computerized maintenance management system (Cascade).
- Understands requirements of NERC reliability standards and executes maintenance and testing activities to help assure compliance.
- Accountable for day to day performance and execution of the ATC maintenance contract.
- Provides direct leadership and technical assistance to field Substation Operations and those M&C Electrician Crews which perform primarily maintenance and test work.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or HSED
- Valid driver's license
- 1+ years - Coordinating and managing work assignments or projects.
- 1+ years - Basic computer usage.
- 3+ years - Interpreting electrical one-line and construction diagrams.
- 3+ years - Proven informal or formal leadership.
- 5+ years - Technical, process and business procedures in electric substation or distribution areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate Degree in substation electrician/technician, electrical or civil technology, instrumentation, electrical engineering, electronic, or related degree.
- Experience with electrical test equipment and data analysis.
