Job Overview

The Staff Accountant position reports to the Accounting Manager and is based in the Vernon, CA, corporate office. EBB has over 200 vendors and approximately 15,000 active customers. Daily transaction volumes are significant and require attention to detail when performing reconciliations, posting journal entries and producing reports.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, to include analysis as appropriate, for approval by Accounting Manager.
  • Perform reconciliations of GL accounts and account analyses as needed.
  • Perform credit card reconciliations.
  • Update spreadsheets and reports as required.
  • Perform reconciliation of ERP system with external reporting systems as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and other key performance indicator (KPI) reporting.
  • Serve as backup for other areas in department as needed.
  • Interface with other areas of the organization in order to complete projects.
  • Provide supporting documentation for the external audit and tax return preparation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven successful experience as a Staff Accountant.
  • Must be comfortable in a high transaction volume environment.
  • Demonstrated ability for accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness.
  • Ability to research, gather and analyze information and resolve problems quickly.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work as part of a team and support cross-departmental tracking and reporting.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • BA/BS in accounting a requirement.
  • Experience with Infor SX.e (ERP) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year
