SEH is currently searching for a talented Sr Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team in our Chippewa Falls, WI location!

Your options as a civil engineer are endless at SEH. Some engineer better communities - complete streets, safer sidewalks, more sustainable utilities, and trails and parks. Others specialize in large-scale projects, like flood control facilities, dams, landfills, harbors/marinas, structural retaining walls and larger geotechnical projects. Regardless of the project, you’ll have your hands in the mix through all phases of a project: planning, pre-design, design, contract documentation, bidding and construction. As people walk, drive, bike or commute through a community or across a landscape, your expertise is positively impacting their daily lives.

The Opportunity:

• Lead and mentor project engineering staff

What you will be doing:

• Client service management
• Project management
• Project scoping and contracting
• Production of construction plans and specifications

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering or related field
• Minimum of Ten (10) years previous experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin or ability to obtain within 6 months

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience serving as a design engineer or project manager for multiple city infrastructure projects
• Fifteen (15) years previous experience and registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin
• Ability to develop new business opportunities and win project work
• Previous project management, design and construction administration experience of Civil/Municipal projects including site improvements, streets, drainage and utilities
• Experience in preparing project plans, specifications and bidding documents
• Previous experience in project proposal preparation and client service management
• Previous experience leading a staff of engineering professionals
• Ability to coach and mentor junior level technical staff and Graduate Engineers
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS and proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
