Material & Equipment Directly Used:
Office computers and equipment, telephones, Microsoft Office suite of tools, spreadsheets and database outputs and reporting, virtual data sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.), and other forms of remote work-sharing tools.
Working Environment:
Primarily performed in an office environment, with work in virtual space, as well as operations centers, network/server rooms, and other datacenter environments. The Solutions Architect must be available between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays, or when the IRS facility is closed for administrative reasons.
Physical Activities:
Must be able to sit, stand, and work at a computer for long periods of time. Qualifications:

The Solutions Architect is responsible for:
- Leveraging of the open-source community to deploy systems on infrastructure as service providers
- Liberally sharing knowledge across a multi-disciplinary team and working within agile methodologies
Acts as a full partner in the determination of vision, objectives, and success criteria
Major Job Activities:
Architecting the overall system, by using prototyping and proof of concepts, which may include modern programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Node.js) and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Rails); relational databases, and automated configuration management (e.g., Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Salt), continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions; use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub- Architecting the overall system, by using prototyping and proof of concepts, which may include ability to work with modern programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Python, Node.js) and web frameworks (e.g., Django, Rails), and Modern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, RESTful APIs) and frameworks (e.g., Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery)

Minimum Qualifications:
Education / Certifications:
U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Residency status by providing their Alien Registration Number
- National Agency Check with Credit (NACIC) background investigation
Experience / Skills:
Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in providing oversight and executive level management to multiple projects/tasks and managing relationships with senior level management within the client organization.- Microsoft Office Suite of tools
- Microsoft Teams
