The Ideal Candidate

The Social Media Manager is a collaborative position, directly responsible for planning,
implementing, managing, monitoring and analyzing Journeys Group social media strategy
in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts and drive sales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day relationships with all external social media agencies and brand
partners, overseeing the monthly and annual social media budget and invoice tracking.
  • Responsible for the strategy and content for both paid and organic social media platforms
including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Instagram, Snap Chat and Pinterest.
  • Setting key performance indicators (KPIS) for social media campaigns (likes, shares, sales
when applicable) and measuring a campaign's performance against the KPIs.
  • Oversee and manage 1-2 team members responsible for posting influencer content, the
execution of branded content and the creation of new product storytelling.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a monthly social media calendar, collaborating with the
necessary internal teams to achieve all relative Journeys Group business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Brand Team to support new product launches, contests,
influencer programs and cooperative paid media initiatives to support key brand partners.
  • Manage the employee Social Media Ambassador and Influencer Program, including working
with necessary internal team(s) for approval.
  • Partner with the E/Commerce Data and Analytics team to align on google analytics, SEO
opportunities and organic reporting.
  • Create timely recap documents that highlights social media performance month-overmonth
& year-over-year.
  • Collaborate within marketing department and partner agencies to research, identify and
utilize emerging cultural trends, and communicate these trends to the larger organization.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Excellent written & oral communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven social media management experience
  • Creative & detail-oriented
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Must be avid user or knowledgeable in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Pinterest
and/or other relevant social media applications
