Snow Groomer - Part-time Seasonal Job at Town of Brookline
The Town of Brookline Recreation Department is seeking an experienced Snow Groomer, reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, to prepare and maintain cross-country ski trails at Brookline Golf Course during the winter ski season. The Snow Groomer will maintain a skiing surface that is safe and functional for cross-country skiers. Grooming operations will generally take place in early morning (4:00am-8:00am). Experience operating heavy machinery including snowmobile and groomer required.
Responsibilities
- Daily operational inspection, fueling, greasing and cleaning of machinery
- Grooming of ski trails in a golf course environment both during daylight and at night.
- Communication of work performed, area covered and reporting of any irregularities in terrain and/or equipment
- Work with Course staff to identify trail and equipment requirements
- Operate Snowmobile equipment safely and efficiently, reporting any mechanical failure immediately to supervisor
- Complete all grooming requests in a timely manner
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Three years of grooming experience
- Ability to work in cold, wet conditions for long periods of time.
- Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
- First Aid certification preferred
