Site Trainer - Campbell

We are looking for a Site Trainer at our Campbell hospital! The Site Trainer will be a member of the Learning and Development team.

Some of the responsibilities you may own in this role:
  • Collaborates with Learning & Development and local leadership to own assessment, onboarding, staff development, and ongoing learning programs at their assigned site.
  • Partner with site leadership on pre-hire assessment and the interview process for candidates.
  • Receive pre-hire and new hire onboarding assessment details to share with new hire’s team and prepare skill building plan.
  • Serve as a welcoming, helpful, and trusted guide for new hires (doctors included).
  • In collaboration with L&D and local leadership, ensure that baseline global/site/department systems and skills are defined, trained, and assessed for new hires.
  • Connect new hires to local and SAGE network resources.
  • Coordination of CE and other L&D presentations at home site.
  • Coordinate with local leadership to develop and facilitate site specific skill development/training sessions.
  • Collaborate with local leadership to observe, evaluate, and offer recommendations for improvements in specific departments as needed.
  • Assist with clinical performance management as needed.
  • Attend regular L&D team meetings to share and harmonize findings and best practices.
  • Attend and participate in site specific meetings.
  • Collaborate with L&D and local leadership to develop and facilitate professional development programs for staff.
  • Occasional site clinical shifts as needed/able.
Basic required qualifications:
  • High school diploma
  • Valid, current veterinary technician certification (RVT, LVT, CVT) license with at least 2 years of clinical experience in the SAGE community of hospitals.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and assisting new employees.
  • Comfortable with workflow and skills across all site departments, including anesthesia.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all appropriate clinical training topics.
  • Professionally adept at the skills being trained.
  • Familiar with common training methodologies, learning management systems, and competency assessments.
  • Ability to lead and train by example, including demonstrating the highest standards of professional interpersonal and technical skills.
  • Model and promote effective and professional communication with all trainees and team members.
  • Embody professional and positive communication skills across all levels of the network, both verbal and written while dealing with many different communication styles.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills.
  • Confidence and skill to identify gaps and present solutions to improve site performance.
  • Excellent analytical and planning skills to assess training needs and develop programs to meet those needs.
  • Skilled in problem analysis and problem solving.
  • Schedule flexibility and ability to adapt to change in a fluid and dynamic work environment.
  • Electronic Medical Record systems proficiency to include estimates, invoices and appropriate medical record documentation.
  • Technologically savvy and curious with strong proficiency in the Microsoft suite and other presentation-oriented platforms.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity with the ability to successfully navigate and meet shifting priorities daily, in a time-sensitive, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to recognize and maintain appropriate professional confidentiality with sensitive employee and company information.

  • Properly bend at the waist.
