Senior Travel Consultant (Sabre)

Full-time. Homebased in the US (Virtual)

In this role you will accurately and efficiently handle incoming requests via multiple channels (i.e. phone, email, etc.). You are the primary point of contact for our dedicated client and provides active travel consultation towards the business customers, including providing travel details and up-selling of related product. This position performs at an expert level and demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the travel industry. You will take the initiative to aid team members and management as requested.

A snapshot of this opportunity

• Strong understanding of a client travel policy and can appropriately guide and consistently provide consultation to the client
• Can fulfill all requests regarding necessary regulations (DOT, TSA, passports, visas, etc.)
• Provide the client with the required industry information, such as low fares, exchange costs, and penalties
• Expertly use the appropriate BCD Travel tools and systems to complete requests
• Perform follow-up as needed and within the time frame promised to the client
• Able to work with 3rd party vendors and negotiate solutions on behalf of the traveler
• Excellent knowledge and application of travel supplier rules

How you can set yourself apart

• Extensive experience in the corporate, HCP, and VIP travel industry
• Strong skills on Sabre GDS system
• Solid working knowledge of the travel industry, policies, procedures, and processes
• Demonstrate excellent internet research skills for client information
• Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously
