Senior Test Engineer

Who You Are

You also have:
- BSEE, BSCE or equivalent (4 years) from accredited computer/electrical engineering college
- 3+ years of relevant experience required
- Comfort with languages such as Python, BASH, C/C++, and C#
- Experience with both linux- and Windows-based development environments
- Experience with containers, CI pipelines, and artifact (release) management
- Thorough knowledge of toolchains, SDKs, and project configuration tools
- Capable of understanding design documents such as schematics and layouts
- Familiarity with embedded development environments such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi
- Experience using and remotely controlling test equipment including DMMs, power supplies, logic analyzers, and oscilloscopes
- Experience with PLC configuration and communications a plus
- Familiarity with methods of voltage/current measurement and amplification
- Experience generating data analytics reports &/or dashboards
- Hands-on ability/style; enjoys discovering, overcoming challenges, and innovating
What You'll Do
As a Sr. Engineer, you'll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team located in Towson.
Specifically, you'll:
- Design and develop automated test systems for Power Tools and related products
- Ability to translate system requirements into sound test system designs through requirements-based testing
- Implement and validate software designs through simulation, emulation, and testing
- Develop system verification procedures that include unit and integration testing through tools such as automated builds, pipelines, containers, and test fixtures
- Pursue performance and quality objectives of all related electronic and software systems
- Assure that appropriate documentation is generated and maintained for work performed, preferably in a Documentation-as-Code (DaC) format
- Desire to work with cross-functional teams to find opportunities to improve processes through automation
- Experience supporting several concurrent projects across multiple product platforms a plus
