The Interchange/Discount fees associated with payment card programs are an integral component of any successful payment processor. Effectively managing the interchange/discount rates and other processor and network fees is critical to the success of the payment service provider.

As the Interchange Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and ongoing monitoring of an interchange management program. You will be responsible for verifying certifications, and ongoing qualification rates. Also, you will be responsible for monitoring the residuals due to the business and ensuring they are accurate. As network updates and programs are issued or updated, you will be responsible for evaluating the changes and their impact on the business and ensuring our processing is updated to meet the new qualifications at the most favorable rate.

This position will report to the VMS Director of Payments, Risk & AML Programs, and will be part of the rapidly growing global payments team. You will also work with our processors and acquirers to ensure we comply with their processing requirements and payment network rules. We are seeking a person with strong business acumen and technical skills with the ability to work on complex projects. If you like problem solving and are detail oriented - this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

• Independently build complex monitoring models to track compliance and determine correct payment clearing levels.
• Ability to identify errors and lead project teams to correct the root cause.
• Development and maintenance of KPIs/dashboards to monitor payment qualifications
• Keep current with industry and client trends and maintain a working knowledge of payment clearing requirements and programs
• Apply foundational knowledge of the business, its products, and processes and provide improvement opportunities and recommended solutions to improve the effectiveness or efficiency of payment clearing.
• Monitor residual payments and verify accuracy
• Analyze residuals and payment processing to identify improvements in the operations and business returns on the activity.
• Work across teams to influence price points for our merchant products and services

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of electronic payments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Interchange management experience - 5 years+
