Job Title: Senior Accounting Analyst

Compensation: $80-90k Annual Salary

Position Summary

Supports month end close process and related balance sheet reconciliations for existing and newly acquired companies. Processes timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and other analyses. Works cross-functionally with other groups to produce specific account analyses and required periodic reporting. Manages work with a keen eye for and understanding of how to support and drive process improvements and streamline existing processes and tasks across multiple platforms. Coaches and mentors other accountants.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Participate in month-end closing activities which includes preparation of monthly journal entries (accruals, allocations, and adjustments) and work with other accountants to complete all assigned tasks within the required timelines
• Reconciles and analyzes general ledger accounts with appropriate documentation
• Perform detailed reviews of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by other accounting/finance staff; prepare complex journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations
• Collaborate with other stakeholders in the Company, including FP&A, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams
• Develop, document, and implement streamlined processes and procedures in compliance with US GAAP standards
• Support strong and effective cross-training process to allow team members to learn new skills, provide backup coverage, and support existing workload allocations
• Execute special projects with minimal supervision and drive results to timely completion
• Complete external data requests as requested, including, but not limited to, senior management, parent company and external auditors
• Execute respective internal controls within the accounting cycle
• Support efforts to implement and improve ERP transactions
• Support the team in automating reports and other tasks within the accounting function
• Implement and support best practices
• Collaboratively coaches and mentors other accounting team members
• Ability to cross-train within the team on specified tasks and processes

Educational Qualifications/Job Experience Requirements

Experience Required:

• 5-6 or more years accounting experience including use of and integration with various accounting software and related ERP systems in large companies

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance required
• CPA certification is preferred

Schedule:

• Regular weekly schedule; weekends or holidays as needed
