JOB TITLE: Senior Accountant

DEPARTMENT: Accounting & Finance

REPORTS TO: Controller

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Accountant will be responsible for general, full-cycle accounting duties. Other responsibilities include compiling and maintaining inventory cost system, inventory accounting and assist with monthly close of general ledger, including the preparation of journal entries, account analysis and reconciliation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general and full-cycle accounting functions
• Maintain standard inventory cost system
• Assist with month-end close
• Perform journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform analytical review of financial statement fluctuations
• SOX testing
• Work with Controller on special projects
• Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience:

• Three to five years’ total accounting experience
• Three years’ experience in a manufacturing public company
• Competence in accrual-basis of accounting
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel

Preferred Experience:

• CPA and/or CMA
• Sage MAS 100 system experience
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience
• Two years audit experience in public accounting
• Supervisory experience
• Advanced proficiency in Excel

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

Preferred Education Level: Master’s Degree in Accounting

OTHER RELEVANT JOB INFORMATION:

• The candidate must be extremely organized and pay great attention to detail. Must be a team player. Verbal and written communication skills are important, as well as interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be a problem solver and follow company policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
