Jefferson Wells is hiring SEC Reporting Consultants for remote opportunities!

Consultants are needed for all aspects of external reporting, including preparation of our clients' quarterly and annual filings with the SEC.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, related footnotes and MD&A
• Review supporting documentation to support financial statements, footnotes and MD&A disclosures, including tie-out support files
• Assist with preparation of earnings releases
• Provide technical accounting research and analysis
• Keep up to date with new accounting standards and reporting guidance
• Provide technical research and document memos
• Serve as point of contact for external auditors

Requirements for consideration:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA preferred, not mandatory
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Technical Accounting knowledge
• Understanding of US GAAP and SEC disclosure/reporting requirements
• Experience with XBRL tagging preferred
• Proficiency with MS Office, in particular MS Teams, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Experience with reporting compliance software (i.e. Workiva, ActiveDisclosure, etc.) preferred
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and attention to detail
