In this role, you are responsible for GxP-compliant management of incoming and outgoing biological samples. Our clients trust us to deliver excellence in data and bioanalysis, and this position is a foundational piece of our larger process. Our company exists to test samples, and you will ensure the samples are checked into our Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), managed according to our procedures, and available to our scientific teams on time.
We are looking for candidates who have familiarity and exposure to a GxP-regulated laboratory or sample management environment. The best candidates are process-oriented and able to manage multiple discrete deadlines in an efficient and composed manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Accessions samples into LIMS
- Maintains sample integrity and chain-of-custody
- Resolves discrepancies, with responsibility for investigating and correcting sample anomalies
- Stages samples for testing per schedule/request
- Maintains operability of sample storage units (e.g. routine maintenance, temperature monitoring)
- Ships samples to domestic or international destinations
- Dispositions samples as directed by client
Skills
- Ability to work in a regulated environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment where multiple concurrent projects must be completed in a timely manner
- Ability to take direction well and multi-task
- Acute attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to quickly build proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, LIS, LIMS, and Quality Management software
- High School diploma
- Experience with shipping and receiving procedures
- Experience using Watson LIMS
- Experience using Orchard Harvest LIS
