Job Description:

We are seeking a full time Roving Maintenance Technician to join our Property Management team. This position is responsible for four properties located in Chaska, Chanhassen, Jordan Valley, & Shakopee. Boiler’s license is not required. If you don’t have one, don’t worry we will pay for the classes and exam.

You would be responsible for day-to-day maintenance repairs, respond to resident work orders, do preventative property maintenance, work with vendors, property managers, and owners to maintain the functionality of the properties assigned to you. This can include:

• Respond to resident work orders. Promptly repair items. Communicate with the Property Manager status of work orders and maintenance charge back items.
• Perform preventive maintenance on property, including but not limited to; mechanical/electrical, HVAC, refrigeration and plumbing systems, building components, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Inspect HVAC and mechanical components on a regular schedule. Maintain records as required.
• Complete repairs for unit turns.
• Assist with maintaining grounds and top-quality curb appeal.
• Order supplies. Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies.
• Perform touch up painting.
• Keep storage area clean, neat, and organized.
• Communicate with Property Manager and Leadership team any problems or unusual matters of significance.

Schedule:

• Flexible schedules, we will work with you
• Monday through Friday, normal business hours
• Rotating on-call

Education /Experience:

We are seeking someone with professional communication skills, verbal and written. Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardi software is considered an asset. Must demonstrate excellent time management, be able to prioritize and organize, be a self-starter who can work independently, have pride in a job well done, and be able to work independently with little supervision.

· High School Diploma or G.E.D

· Experience or training in a maintenance role

· Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair

· MN State special engineer boilers license is a plus

Must pass a drug test, physical and background check. Have a valid MN Driver’s License and a good driving record.
