Program Manager - Day Services - Awakenings Job at The Arc of Washington County
Position Description:
The focus of this program is on community-integration for adults with autism and specific behavioral needs to achieve the most independent and inclusive life possible. This is achieved through the development and implementation of individualized person-centered plans and Positive Behavioral Supports. This program assists the people supported by assessing their sensory needs as well as vocational needs through various activities.
The Awakenings Program Manager will have the responsibility of assisting with overall operation of the Awakenings program which includes both people and financial resources. The program manager will supervise around 20-25 staff who provide support to the approximately 17 persons served in the program.
The Awakenings Program Manager will also be responsible for ensuring appropriate services are delivered in the most cost efficient and effective manner while ensuring quality and compliance with all agency, state, federal, and regulations specific to program(s).
This is a full-time M-F salaried, mid-level supervisory position that offers benefits which include: Health, Dental, Vision, Life & Supplemental Disability Insurance; 403b Retirement Plan, Paid Time Off: (14 days the first year and 20 days the second year), and 7 paid holidays.
Position Requirements:
The successful candidate will also need to:
- Be 21 years old or older
- Possesses a valid driver's license for at least one (1) year, (two years preferred), not counting any time on a learner's permit with a good driving record.
- Attend our new hire training M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm for the first two weeks.
- Pass a basic reading comprehension and math test, a background check, and pre-employment screenings which include a drug screen and physical/fitness test.
- Be physically fit in order to lift and transfer at least 50 pounds
- Have the ability to provide direct care and implement proper restraint techniques to ensure the health and safety of the persons served
