Vein Clinics of Hawaii is a multi-office, Hawaii based, state-wide practice specializing in modern vein care. We are seeking a physician provider to work in our Oahu offices in Honolulu and Kapolei and/or our offices on the Big Island in Waimea and Hilo.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • be a physician who would be interested in specializing in a specific health care niche;
  • be someone in touch with customer service and patient satisfaction within the world of modern medical therapeutics;
  • be attracted to minor in office procedures and possibly have prior experience in such, either in the office or in the ER/OR;
  • need to have a desire to learn, become an expert in and have the opportunity to achieve additional board certification in a specialty that is likely entirely new to his or her prior experience and education.

The candidate will learn state-of-the-art procedures that are utilized to treat vein care patients. The introduction to new technology would be an attractive aspect to this candidate. Patient satisfaction is wonderful in this specialty and job satisfaction can be incredibly high.

Job Summary:

-Assess and evaluate office patients, including new patients, pre-op and post-op office visits, with respect to venous and general vascular type problems.

-Perform comprehensive histories and physicals for new patients and follow up visits on patients suspected of having venous disease.

-Consults with patients regarding an appropriate course of treatment for the broad spectrum of venous disease. There are a wide variety of minimally invasive, procedural interventions that the candidate will be fully trained to undertake and become expert in.

-Educates and counsels patients and families regarding health problems and treatment plans, as well as pre-op and post-op care.

-Documents within electronic medical record

Knowledge and skills required:

-Ability to work independently; capable of handling daily patient care situations

-Possesses computer knowledge of electronic medical records

-Most importantly demonstrates teamwork and interpersonal communication skills that allow for a pleasant work place and positive interactions with patients

-Full and complete training will be provided for all the above-mentioned activities

- The candidate does not need to be a surgeon or even a procedurally based practitioner. All candidates who display a desire to practice medicine in a slightly different and much more enjoyable environment than what they are used to will be seriously considered.

- Must have current Hawaii medical license
