The Security Analyst is responsible for assisting in originating, implementing, and maintaining the Credit Union's Physical Security Risk Management Program to ensure conformity and adherence with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. Provide support and guidance to the Credit Union’s security risk management efforts; serve as an advisor; assist regulatory agencies, law enforcement and/or auditor inquiries; review and write related policies and procedures; make recommendations when and where appropriate; create reports detailing the Credit Union’s security risk and trend related issues. Advise the Manager - Security & Dispute Operations of emerging security issues and consult and guide the Credit Union in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks. Perform moderately complex research and analysis of various reports for security monitoring, assist in the coordination and support of security audits and examinations, perform a variety of routine daily tasks; review reports, prepare correspondence, and participates in special department projects.

Conducts security reviews of the Credit Union and implement site security procedures, checklists, process controls and practices for the protection of personnel, facilities, and information. Responsible for assisting with procedures, equipment, inspections, surveys, and training. Assist with procedures, equipment, inspections, surveys, training and provide guidance to all personnel. Evaluate the effectiveness of existing security practices and recommend appropriate actions to correct deficiencies. Utilize multiple security systems to perform essential job functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Facility Management

  • Assists with yearly physical inspections of all TDECU facilities verifying that they are completed and documented to assure that all security systems are in good operating condition, safety measures are in place, and the staff is trained in emergency procedures.
  • Programs users into alarm panels throughout the organization to ensure only authorized users have access.
  • Assists with maintaining and administering the access control system to include but not be limited to, badge issuance, group policy assignments, access privileges, and trouble shooting.
  • Follows established procedures to ensure that all DVR’s, camera equipment, alarms, and access control systems are functioning properly and when service is needed that proper notification is made so the repair is completed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with providing leadership, direction, guidelines, and procedural framework for TDECU’s physical security. Ensures compliance with all State and Federal regulations.

Research and Investigation

  • Assists in investigations relating to the security of TDECU personnel, members, and assets.
  • Conducts root cause analysis to identify opportunities to predict, prevent, and mitigate risk.
  • Advise the Manager - Security & Dispute Operations and Senior Management of emerging security and safety issues and consult and guide in the establishment of controls to mitigate risks.

Document Management

  • Provides written and video documentation for internal supervision for corrective action. Assists the Investigation department with providing needed information to aid in successful criminal prosecution of those involved in committing criminal offenses against TDECU.

Training

  • Attends training sessions and stays current with security procedures and industry best practices to maintain high professional standards.
  • Assists with training TDECU employees regarding emergency actions such as fire evacuation, bomb threats, robbery, and general security procedures.
  • Stays abreast of changes in credit union services, products and procedures.

Member Service

  • Participates in security efforts across the organization, including information technology, human resources, communications, legal, facilities management and other groups, to maintain security initiatives and standards.

Reporting

  • Prepares accurate, complete, and concise reports of all Security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Assists in the response to subpoenas served by local authorities or received by certified mail.

Project Management

  • Assists with project planning and execution to meet accurate timelines and ensure workplace security is in place.
  • Assists the Manager - Security & Dispute Operations with ensuring the Security Program meets all requirements of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations by implementing the policies, procedures and processes regarding customer larcenies, burglaries, kidnap and hostage, extortion, bomb threats, customer robberies and assaults, civil disturbances, and natural disasters.
  • Assists the Manager - Security & Dispute Operations with ensuring that an active, deliberate, and appropriate business management decision processes are applied to determine what types and levels of protection are required for all of the security measures, parties and conditions.

Education:

  • Associates or two-year degree from an accredited University preferred or equivalent mix of education and experience required.

Licensure:

  • Physical Security Professional (PSP-ASIS) designation preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in a physical security related field.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant computer software including skills with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with physical security software and systems, video management software and systems, and access control software and systems. (Op-Center, Vid-Center, RPS, and Pacom preferred)
  • Working knowledge of network communication and configuration a plus.
  • Produces effective, practical decisions / solutions, and makes judgments decisively.
  • Requires strong interpersonal, communication, and investigative skills.
  • Detail orientated with ability to utilize time effectively.
  • Proven record interacting with all levels of the public from the criminal element to public officials, business leaders and executives.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Extremely self motivated

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour
