Lynn Shelter Association is now hiring Direct Care Staff (Part-Time Weekends) for our Individual Shelter.

Schedule:

Numerous Schedules are available

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Available shifts can be from 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, or 11pm to 7am.

We work alongside individuals and families to create a supportive environment- by listening and building relationships- empowering them to define and pursue their goals. We provide shelter, supportive services, housing solutions and access to a continuum of community supports to more than 1,000 individuals and families at risk for and experiencing homelessness each year.

Responsibilities Include:

Report to the Senior Staff Member on site and supervised by Program Director

Screen and admit residents and visitors in accordance with established policies and procedures

Maintain safety and orderliness of the facility

Supervise guest activities and chore sharing, as needed

Maintain daily logs and guest files

Coordinate and provide routine facility maintenance, as needed

Attend all scheduled staff meeting and agency trainings

Perform related tasks as assigned by the House Manager and/or Program Director

Assist with volunteers, as needed

Qualifications:

*High school diploma/GED required

*Experience working with people from very diverse backgrounds

*Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills

*Ability to implement and utilize limit setting techniques and appropriate boundaries

*Ability to speak, read and write English, bi-lingual preferred

*Must be flexible and willing to work morning, evening, and awake overnight shifts

*Ability to pass CORI/background check

We are limiting all outside visitors and screening all intakes and returning guests.
We are cleaning all common surfaces every hour and have made gloves, masks, and sanitizer available to all staff and shelter guests
