Summary/Objective

The operations supervisor will lead the packaging production team and support the General Manager in ensuring the flawless execution of production timelines to support business needs. The primary goal of the operations supervisor is to ensure the proper production flow to support the demands for consumer-packaged goods and the timelines of contractual agreements. The role will be charged with up-holding, generating, and strategizing on processes to improve efficiencies and grow the department. Specific responsibilities include hands on management of day-to-day performance, production schedules, hiring, training, team development, department process improvements, and coaching. This role is also responsible for distributor relations, ensuring the final completion and execution of production aligns with the needs of the distributor or client. Must strictly adhere to approved budgets and must ensure KPI’s and goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly. The select candidate will be a proven self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, track ongoing activities, and anticipate organizational needs.

• Lead a team that delivers quality work through strong collaboration and innovative problem-solving approaches through direction, coaching, counseling, and training and development.
• Assist with planning, scheduling and reporting of all aspects of production ◦ Coordinating CPG production to hit key launch dates
• Reviews lab and efficiency reports to ensure margin health
• Ensure lab testing schedules and proper testing labs per project
• Prepare and coordinate all distributor shipments
• Responsible for overseeing BOMs (Ensure all supplies are accounted for prior to production date)
• Manage inventory levels and communicate with the consumables clerk
• Manage a team of 40+
• Provide insights into efficiencies by way of workflow or new equipment
• Oversee the ERP and batch records
• Metrc oversight
• Accounting liaison, ensuring the accounting team is kept abreast of project completions, resources allocation and spends
• Conduct inventory management of raw materials and packaging by doing cycle counts
• Oversees month-end inventory counts
• Adhere to the company review processes and ensure all employees are reviewed according to the company policies
• Participate in the hiring, training, managing, and leading of a high performing team, with an emphasis on performance, productivity and teamwork.

• Maintain a production environment focused on safety, cleanliness and high efficiency.
• Oversee quality control
• Develop and enforce SOPs to ensure that products are produced/packaged consistently.
• Oversee yield loss, ensure everything is properly reported to both internal management and external clients.
• Work closely with the facilities team to coordinate maintenance or repair of equipment to minimize production disruptions and maximize efficiency.
• Manages and improves upon production KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
• Monitors production/quality documents, reviews for discrepancies.
• Fill in and cover critical tasks when direct reports are out of the office.

Education and Experience

5+ years' experience managing a production line or similar role

• Related industry experience, cannabis industry experience preferred
• NABIS experience preferred
• Strong problem solving, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
• Skilled at multitasking with an ability to meet deadlines
• Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated and can work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and provide multiple creative solutions to everyday challenges
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
