LYNDHURST GYNECOLOGIC ASSOCIATES Winston-Salem, NC
We are currently seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to assist physicians and staff for general patient care and some clerical duties in an outpatient surgical setting in a busy Ob/Gyn practice located in Winston-Salem, NC. Knowledge of medical terminology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, EMR experience preferred. 15 – 20 hours per week with standard workdays being Tuesday – Thursday with occasional Fridays with varying hours dependent on surgery/clinic load.
In this role, you will:
· Provide clinical care under the direction of the Clinical Manager and Physicians.
· Set up and sterilize medical equipment/scope using High Level Disinfection and Autoclave
· Set up sterile surgical trays
· Prepare patients for outpatient surgical procedures
· Provide instructions to patients and their families
· Document vital signs
· Collect and process specimens
· Surgical room turnover
· Transport patients at discharge as needed
· Stocking supplies
· Backup coverage for Patient Support Associates
· Perform other functions as delegated
Qualifications:
· High School graduate
· Certified Medical Assistant (MA) or LPN preferred
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $400.00 - $600.00 per week
