Essential Functions

Responsibilities include:

· Shares the responsibility for the management of patients; Performs any and all duties of the staff nursing position

· Coordination of all nursing and medical services within the clinic and arranges referrals to outside medical agencies for specialized treatment.

· Responsible for maintaining accurate medical records in accordance with the Root Center for Advanced Recovery, CARF Accreditation standards, Federal and State requirements.

· May be required to take and record patient vitals, provide phlebotomy services as well as any other assigned tasks.

· Conducts patient assessments for any change in patients’ condition or as needed.

· Supervises the nursing staff including, completion of annual performance evaluations, interpreting & executing policies relative to medical, pharmacy and nursing responsibilities

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Active RN license in CT. BSN preferred. Two years nursing experience in behavioral health field required, including 1 in a leadership role with supervisory experience. Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) preferred or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (or is actively pursuing credentialing) is preferred. Adult BLS/AED certification preferred.
