Medical Receptionist / Clinic Assistant PART-TIME - Wednes/Thursday

Position Summary
This medical receptionist will be responsible for working as an integral member of a busy private medical practice and directly supporting one or two Podiatric surgeons in a close setting.

This position will require the following duties:
- Patient telephone calls, messages, appointment scheduling, collecting payments.
- Contacting insurance companies for eligibility, benefits, claims as well as using the various online portals
- Maintenance of efficient patient flow, exam room preparation, taking and recording basic medical history, and assisting the physicians as needed.
- Coordination of surgical procedures/ scheduling
- Use of computers, electronic medical record, telephone, fax machine, copier, thermometer, wheelchair, and other patient care equipment necessary to perform required duties as appropriate to the scope of the practice.
- Basic housekeeping duties.

Requirements:

• Must be highly organized, detail oriented, possess good analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure.
• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to produce accurate reports, forms, etc.
• Ability to maintain composure when interacting with uncooperative or aggressive people.
• Ability to problem solve.
• Great attendance.
• Ability to work well with others.

The medical receptionist will work under the direct supervision of the physician, also independently during off-clinic hours. Good communication skill, work ethic and efficiency are a must, assisting with patient care in compliance with established standards and protocols of NWFAI's goals and objectives. Previous medical experience is preferred. We are looking for someone for a long-term commitment. Start ASAP. 2 days a week - Wed/Thur, 8 hour shift.
