We are a busy, well-established medical supplies company in Kent and are excited to be adding a full-time medical service billing agent to our team. The right candidate will be energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to establish priorities, multi-task and meet deadlines. Good office and computer skills are also required.

Most of all, we are looking for a positive team player with a passion for assisting customers!

This position will begin learning split duties between billing and customer service, transitioning full time into billing.

You will be responsible for the following duties:

• 90% - billing Washington State Medicaid, 10% DSHS Commercial (United, Molina, etc) billing
• Reconcile Medicaid and Medicare and other insurance company payments
• Monitor and work with insurance companies regarding discrepancies in payments
• Researching and appealing denied claims
• Follow up on issues (i.e., backorders, late shipments, reshipments) by emailing Vendors, checking websites, communicating with CSRs
• Verify WCVOs (date, PCP, codes), confirmation comments and communicate to management
• Keeping up to date with all regulations and guidelines set by State Programs for Washington Medicaid and Medicare billing

Experience

• Experience with Washington State Medicaid preferred
• Experience with Medicare preferred
• Familiarity with HCPC codes, WCVOs, HCFA forms, a plus!
• Computer proficiency – knowledge of Word, Outlook, Data entry, etc.

Required education:

• High school or equivalent

Required experience:

• Medical Office Billing: 2 years
