MECHANICAL FIELD TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanical Field Technician will perform various forms of ski lift, gondola and tram maintenance. They will assist the Service Department by working directly with customers. Hands on mechanical tasks will be performed to assure the safety and reliability of equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and repair ski lift equipment
• Perform and document preventative maintenance on ski lift equipment
• Work directly with customers to complete timely repairs and maintenance

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Mechanical training on ski lifts
• Organizational skills -communication with customers and engineers
• Awareness and ability to perform safe rigging practices
• Comfortable working at heights
• NDT experience or willing to train and test
• Basic Computer skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Minimum of 1 year of heavy mechanical repair experience
• Ability to travel up to 80%
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Work in inclement weather in a mountainous environment at heights in excess 20 feet

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous ski lift maintenance experience
• 1 year previous NDT experience (MT/PT)

Wages starting at $22.00 an hour (depending on experience of candidate)

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Non-destructive testing: 1 year (Preferred)
• heavy mechanical repair: 1 year (Required)
• reading and intrepreting drawings and prints: 1 year (Required)
• ski lift maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

• English (Required)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Required)
