This Part-Time Mechanical Engineer designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems.

This Part-Time Mechanical Engineer designs, fabricates, modifies, and evaluates complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems, and systems.
DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Write analytical and experimental test procedures, compile, and evaluate design and test data and prepare technical specifications.
- Recommend design approaches to meet project requirements for new or improved products or processes.
- Coordinate with technical support personnel to build prototypes for experimental evaluation and virtual models for analytical evaluation for the new or improved products or processes.
- Coordinate the efforts of CAD designers, technical writers, engineering technicians and prototyping personnel as needed.

Qualifications:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.- Requires at least 2-years related experience.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology to HVAC or related products.
- Experience with analytical and CAD software by defining basic requirements and interpreting results.
- A combination of knowledge and experience with Engineering Change processes, New Product Introduction processes, Material Cost Reduction techniques, Safety Standard requirements, Design for Manufacturability and Design for Reliability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A natural curiosity to understand the physics of problems.
- Additionally, proactively learns and engages with other project team members.
