We’re looking for an amazing Manager, Deployment Planning to fill this role. You will work and report to our corporate headquarters in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a Hybrid work schedule opportunity. Working directly with the Director, Deployment, you’ll be responsible for the strategic development of our annual deployment and itineraries for our fleet of 16 ships including future newbuilds. This position through quantitative and qualitative analysis will influence the future direction of the brand while working closely with teams throughout the company including Marine Operations, Shore Excursions, Port Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Communications, other brands within the Corporation and our International offices.

Responsibilities

• Prepares business cases for long-term strategic planning of our fleet of 16 ships and future newbuilds and presents for decision making to Director and senior executives.
• Develops new cruise itineraries from one to 111 days based on net contribution of ticket revenue, onboard revenue, port and fuel.
• Develop itinerary efficiency to reduce carbon as move to aspiration of net carbon neutral by 2050.
• Completes historic qualitative and quantitative analysis including price elasticity.
• Manages competitive and consumer insight data analysis utilizing industry and corporate sources.
• Leads cross-departmental itinerary committee meetings with operations teams to balance logistics and safety needs with commercial considerations while creating award-winning itineraries.
• Manages prompt itinerary changes in response to external forces/crises including political unrest, natural disasters and operational challenges while minimizing consumer impact.
• Manages berth reservations process for over 350 ports of call while resolving congestion issues and collaborating with port managers, agents and other cruise lines.
• Manages the launch of future cruise programs through project management of the program schedule for over 650 voyages annually.
• Manages program launch deliverables with marketing, product, revenue management and international managers from initial messaging through inclusion in marketing materials such as press releases, brochures, websites and emails.
• Manages local market charter itinerary planning with our international offices with careful consideration of government regulations, immigration needs and unique delivery channels.
• Recruit, mentor and train team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing
• 5 years travel industry experience in revenue management and/or itinerary planning
• Advanced analytical experience
• Cruise industry experience
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• Proficient use of Microsoft Power Point and Word
• Project management experience
• Proficiency with visualization software including Tableau or Power BI, etc
• Strong leadership and team building skills
• Ability to solve problems with creative solutions
• Able to work independently while managing multiple priorities
• Excellent organization skills with extreme attention to detail
• Excellent presenter and data driven story-teller
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead cross functional teams and build consensus
• Resilience to keep projects moving forward while working with ambiguity
• Passion and knowledge of worldwide destinations
• Up to 25% Travel domestic/international

• Base Salary Range: $ 83,200.00 to $ 112,300.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
