The following positions are available for both first and second shifts:
Position Name: Winding Technician
Job Description: Perform required operations to set up and operate various sizes of filament winding machines. Operate only one machine at a time. Load machines with tooling and fill machine with resin and fiber. Load oven with completed parts using overhead crane. Tolerances are not difficult to maintain due to nature of tooling and machines. Gauge parts using diameter tapes. Work from specifications as to size and finish. Work is subject to process and final inspections. Product quality should meet established company standards.
Position Name: CNC Lathe Operator
Job Description: Operate and adjust CNC machining equipment to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups are made by others. Operations include drilling, boring, milling, turning, etc. employing recognized tooling and procedures and where tolerances are close but not difficult to maintain. Follow detailed instructions, work from standard coding and operational data to change or mount tools and position work piece. Operate control console to orient spindle. Check work position at specified reference points. Adjust machine and fixture stops to maintain finish and tolerance requirements. Work from part drawings and use required precision measuring instruments to check machine positioning and inspect work. Recognize and report machine malfunctions, tooling difficulties, etc. Operator may assist with setups or proving of programs. Under supervision, work procedures and products are subject to check and inspection. Operator requires a general knowledge of tooling applications and shop practices plus basic training on CNC machining equipment.
Position Name: Center-less Grinder
Job Description: Set up, adjust and operate a centerless grinder to impart desired finish and diametric dimension to cylindrical parts (tubing). Typical production work is for straight through cylindrical grinding of tubing. Set feed rest, work supports and regulating wheel. Operator required to dress abrasive wheel when required. Hand feed parts weighing up to 50 pounds and using electric lift to load and remove heavier parts. Gauge parts using fixed and adjustable gauging instruments and diameter tapes. Work from specifications as to size and finish. Read simple shop drawings (diameter and length). Work is subject to process and final inspections.
