Technical Skills:
General administrative and management duties. Direct the efforts of a team of Unix and Linux professionals in all aspects of server support for our client . This covers policy, strategy, administration, oversight, monitoring, compliance, guidelines, standards and project management.
Work independently and can train others to help fulfill the essential function of the Unix & Linux Administration department that include the following operations:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business or Computer Science preferred. Professional or Military experience will be considered in lieu of education.

Management, Leadership, and Personal Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of planning, general management, budgeting, and quality assurance as it relates to network administration and hardware/software implementation projects
- Management of AWS Unix & Linux AWS Administration
- Contributes effectively through others, both in Technical Services and other areas of the Bank.
- Able to negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers as needed.
- Communicates clearly and concisely, presents ideas in user-friendly language and has strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships at all levels.
- Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.

Technical Skills:
- 2 years of AWS experience.
- Excellent working knowledge of UNIX operating systems and hardware platforms supporting the UNIX O/S including IBM AIX, Oracle Solaris, Red Hat Linux as well as AWS Linux.
- Strong working knowledge of relational database environments.
- Strong working knowledge of other O/S's i.e., Windows and VMware
- Strong working knowledge of network architectures and protocols.
- Strong working knowledge of project management techniques and Systems Development Life Cycle methodologies.
- Understanding of storage area networks, telecommunications and managed storage environments.
- Understanding of security administration, firewall configuration and administration and VPN's.

- Manage and prioritize the daily work efforts for the Unix & Linux Administration team.
- Manage the budget for the Unix & Linux Administration team.
- Manage the support for all Unix & Linux systems.
- Manage the resource allocation for projects as requested.
- Manage the capacity planning for systems.
- Establish policy, procedures and standards for the department.
- Maintain required disaster recovery capabilities.
- Ensure proper handling of all support and maintenance requests
- Perform technology research and analysis as applicable.
- Provide 1st level support for Kubernetes / Dockers.
- A minimum of:
- 5 years of administration experience in a distributed platform environment.
- 3 years project management experience.
- 3 years of experience in selecting, implementing and supporting third-party vendor solutions.
- Experience leading in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Excellent working knowledge of the Bank's systems and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of formal Disaster Recovery planning and processes.
- Exposure to Enterprise Storage and SAN environments.
Education:
