Job Responsibilities

• Planning and directing operations of the classroom to ensure the client's mission, vision and values are upheld.
• Ensuring children are provided with a developmentally age-appropriate learning environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of behavioral and developmental stages of children.
• Knowledge of childcare licensing requirements.
• Ability to manage a classroom, including strong organizational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills.
• Embrace a patient and flexible attitude to best help the children learn and grow.
• Ability to keep children within sight and sound supervision at all times.
• Ability to change children’s diapers and/or assist with toileting (where necessary).
• Ability to lift items/children ~50 pounds.
• Ability to multitask in a lively environment and work well within a team.
• Ability to handle crisis situations, including assisting in evacuating the building during emergencies.
• Create and distribute educational content.
• Plan and implement activities using the play-based curriculum that takes children on an adventure around the world by maintaining a daily schedule.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep the classroom clean and safe.
• Meet all applicable licensing regulations.

Lead Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field with 18 credits from an institution of higher education in early childhood education and a private academic teaching or temporary approval certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Lead Teacher in a licensed, childcare facility.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) is preferred, but not required.
• CPR / First Aid certified preferred, but not required.
• Ability to reliably commute to and from the school.
• Meet Pennsylvania state requirements to be a Lead Teacher.

Assistant/Aide Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a minimum of a HS Diploma / GED
• At least 6 months - 1 year of professional childcare experience is preferred, but not required.
• CPR / First Aid certified preferred, but not required.
• Ability to reliably commute to and from the school.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per year
