Lead Airport Line Service Technician Job at Cincinnati Jet Center
General Description:
Seeking a full-time Lead Airport Line Service Technician, that performs intermediate technical work overseeing and participating in providing airport line products and services to base customers and transient customers; administers and maintains the FBO (Fixed Based Operator) facility, airport grounds, and equipment. Work is performed under the supervision of the Operations Manager.
**Must be willing to work nights (until 10pm), weekends and holidays.
Participating in and/or organizing providing services to aircraft and customers including but not limited to:
- Directing aircraft to the proper parking area and securing aircraft.
- Taking fuel and service orders from pilots and/or customers.
- Directing pilots and customers to the proper area in the terminal building.
- Coordinating rental car delivery to the customer.
- Providing the correct fuels and services to the aircraft.
- Quality control of fuels when receiving and prior to dispensing the product. Performing or coordinating maintenance of ground service equipment including fuel trucks, GPU’s, lavatory cart, tugs, etc.
- Performing or coordinating maintenance of airport grounds, fuel farms and fuel pumps.
- Recordkeeping of daily fuel Q.C. and equipment inspections.
- Safely towing, storing, and retrieving aircraft from hangar(s).
- Response to emergencies, notifications of manager, fire, police, etc.
- Maintain sufficient fuel inventory, keep fuel inventory and sales records.
- Reporting any incidents involving accidents, aircraft damage, security breach, fire, theft, etc.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Preferred but not mandatory: Thorough knowledge of aircraft, airport facilities, aircraft fueling, ground equipment operation and maintenance, quality control of fuels, emergency response to fuel spills and/or fires. Specialized knowledge of fuel quality control procedures and the use of special instruments and devices used to evaluate the fuels. Good mathematical skills. Good communication skills.
Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. Considerable experience and technical training in fueling and servicing aircraft at an FBO of equal or larger size and sales volume is preferred but not mandatory.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
